Technical Analysis
Inverse Scientific has extensive expertise in the area of vehicle accident reconstruction, including accidents involving passenger vehicles, motorcycles, recreational trailers, commercial vehicles and pedestrians. We use reliable analytical and experimental methods to quantify an accident’s severity and to determine vehicle dynamics and kinematics, such as component-loading conditions or how fast vehicles were traveling at key points during an accident. We are regularly involved in analyzing accident outcomes at the vehicle-component level and interact seamlessly with other experts in areas such as vehicle design or biomechanics.

Photogrammetry
Photogrammetry involves using photographs to make measurements, so not only is a picture worth a thousand words, but it may also be worth a thousand (or more) measurements. The images used in photogrammetric studies may be from law enforcement, from site visits or vehicle inspections we conduct, or even from witnesses or bystanders who have captured events and details at the scene with their cell phone cameras. Regardless of the source, such photographic evidence may be used in photogrammetric studies, where they facilitate the construction of accurate 3D models.

Unique Product and Scenario Evaluations
Using the scientific approach, hypotheses are generated and tested through either physical or virtual environments powered by physics-based simulation software. Employing such software as a tool in an analysis offers an accurate measure of the events that did occur and an assessment of what did not occur.
